We are looking for an excellent Information System Manager to join our team
What’s the job:
The MIS Specialist is responsible for the overall management of the company's information systems. This includes tasks such as system administration, network administration, user support, and security. The Information System Manager also works with the development team to ensure that new features and applications are compatible with the company's existing systems.
What you’ll do:
- Administer the company's computer systems, including servers, workstations, and networks. This includes tasks such as installing and configuring software, managing user accounts, and troubleshooting problems.
- Provide user support to employees, including troubleshooting problems, providing training, and answering questions. This includes working with employees to resolve issues with their computer systems, software, and networks.
- Work with the development team to ensure that new features and applications are compatible with the company's existing systems. This includes testing new features and applications, and providing feedback to the development team.
- Monitor the company's IT infrastructure for security threats and vulnerabilities. This includes using security tools to scan for vulnerabilities, and implementing security measures to protect the company's data and systems.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies. This includes reading industry publications, attending conferences, and taking training courses.
What you bring (experience):
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Jira, or Google Cloud Platform. This includes experience with deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Windows, Linux, and networking. This includes experience with installing and configuring software, managing user accounts, and troubleshooting problems.
- Excellent customer service skills. This includes the ability to communicate effectively with employees and to resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This includes the ability to work independently to troubleshoot problems and to work as part of a team to implement new features and applications.
Bonus points:
- Experience with security frameworks, such as ISO 27001 or PCI DSS. This includes experience with implementing security measures to protect data and systems.
- Experience with security incident response. This includes experience with responding to security incidents, such as data breaches and malware attacks.
- Experience with security risk management. This includes experience with identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
